List of Broodmares - Photos can be found in the Photo Album

Farmer's Tern (17)  Colt foal by Major Diamond Flight 2009

16.1hh, TB mare, Sascha is an ex race mare, she is superbly bred by Sharrood out of an Artic Mare (Sea Bird). She has stunning paces and showed tremendous jumping ability before being retired to stud. Sascha's first foal is winning consistently in dressage and jumping 1.40m at home and out of 12 jumping competitions to date has 12 double clears! We are about to back her next filly, by S da S (Cruising/Hat-Trick) whom we are extremely excited about especially after seeing her loose jump!

Morning Bliss (17)

16.1hh, Irish Draught x TB mare, Bliss is by Banks Fee Daniel out of a Grade B SJ mare. Although Bliss has never been ridden every one of her foals are successful in affiliated competition and she has bred a graded Stallion! She is a perfect match with Major League and produces jumper after jumper! Her full brother was also a graded ISH Stallion who stood at RFS for several years before being sold.

Roxy (17)

16.1hh, Irish Draught x TB mare, Roxy is by Banks Fee Daniel out of a Harvest Sun mare. She has been placed 2nd at a county show inhand only time shown and has been successfully breeding SJ/event offspring. She has had professional SJ riders after her offspring since seeing a 3 year old filly by Major League jump (balloon) a cross pole!

Anymore (14)   Colt foal by Major League 2009

16hh, Selle Francais x TB, By Animo (Olympic SJ) out of a Runnymeade mare. This mare has a huge jump just like her Sire, she competed lightly easily jumping up to Foxhunter before going to stud. 2006 saw her 1st foal for Rocks Farm Stud and we were not disappointed she has had an absolutely stunning filly by Major League, one sure to go to the top!

Major Sensation  (12) Colt Foal by Chippendale Z 2009

As many will know one of my favourite horses, only 2nd to her Sire Major League, this mare has won me soo many rosettes, she can be relied upon to jump consistent double clears and tries her heart out in every round, she is Major Leagues oldest offspring and it was a difficult decision when to stop competing her and breed, but due to a hind leg ligament injury causing her discomfort, the time is right.

Pit Babe (9)

15.2hh, Irish Cob, Pamela has a lot of quality for a Cob with very good movement she is lovely mare who is easy in every way and boy can she jump!  She is sure to produce some wonderfull coloured stock.  Will place a better pic when she looses her winter woolies!

Saffron (6)   Colt foal by Major League 2009

16hh, Selle Francais x TB, By S da S (Cruising/Hat-Trick) out of Farmer's Tern.  Saffron has a typical Cruising jump showing huge scope and perfect technique!  Unfortunately it is looking like a freak accident in the field is going to resign her to the Broodmare ranks but she will undoubtedly pass on her immense jumping ability(see Photo Album).

Tiffany (15)

Just a quick word for a special mare, now not strictly a broodmare, Tiffany is an invaluable asset to the stud! Tiffany had to have her ovaries removed for health reasons, but all was not lost as this has enabled her to be used at stud, due to the fact that she thinks she is in season permanently thus allowing us to use her to collect semen from the stallions whenever we need to. Tiffany loves her job and not surprisingly the Stallions lover her!

Renkum Fern (R)

16.1hh, Graded, Dutch x Selle Francais Mare by Renkum Arturo (International Grade A), everytime shown she has been either Champion or Reserve Champion! purchased as a 4 year old Fern competed BSJA with consistent Double Clears with plenty of scope and text book technique, she was very successful at Dressage being in the top 2 placings in every test entered! Retired to stud due to a fluke injury in the field.  Produces stunning offspring with the ability to go right to the top!

Hat-Trick (R)

15.2hh, Selle Francais x TB mare, Hattie is by Feu Follet out of an Ozymandias Mare. She has fabulous movement with perfect technique over a fence, She has a graded Stallion son to her name!

Rio Danser (35) Retired (D)

14.2hh, Ex race horse of unknown breeding, successful in all spheres at affiliated levels many qualifications, as well as hunting, pony club etc, you name it she did, retired sound to breed at 17yrs, she has produced many successful offspring her last being by Major League at 28yrs. Fulfilled her role as a grandma to the babies but now prefers to be left in peace!  (2006) Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Vicky before this winter set in her teeth were all but gone and although she still looked good she would have struggled through the winter, we purchased her as a 4 year old out of training and she genuinely never put a hoof out of place in over 30 years she achieved everything we ever asked of her and has produced some superb eventing offspring as well as grandchildren and their kids, who are excelling in Burghley Young Event Horse classes, a much loved and truly one off kinda girl!

Diamond Shadow (10) (D)

16.3hh, Irish Draught x TB, By Slyguff Joker (King of Diamonds/Highland Flight) out of an Odin/Imperius mare. Shadow was a fabulous mare with, as her pedigree suggest, a fantastic jump never touching a pole. She had two foals, who although young, look to have superb futures ahead of them. (2004) Shadow was a huge loss for the stud, she was a beautiful mare with an unbeatable loving temperament, a tragic loss.

Little Rascal (17) (D)

15.2hh, TB mare, Gracie, is homebred out of Rio Danser by the TB Stallion Catch the Thatch. She has shown enormous ability in dressage and SJ in-between breeding duties. She has offspring qualified for Burghley Young Event Horse as well as some very successful in Dressage and SJ/Event winners.  Sadly we lost Gracie just before her 18th birthday in Feb 2008, she became ill very suddenly and went downhill quickly, she was a wonderful mare who has bred some fantastic stock even her grandchildren are successful in Eventing.  Thankfully I still have her last offspring, a 2 year old gelding whom I have had a soft spot for from the moment he arrived, I know he is special!  It is a sad loss as I had expected Gracie to be like her mum and end up a very old girl but it wasn't to be.
